SIDAR is a joint-stock company      established in 1993 as a family-business      company.
The main scope of activities include      production (growing), processing and
     trading with agricultural production.
After the changes in 1989 in Bulgaria, the      company has rented and started to
cultivate 10 000 dåcares arable land in      North-East Bulgaria. This area is
well-known for its fertile black earth and
mild climate. With the profits from the first      rich crops, the company has bought a mill      and two bakeries. The company offers the      production in its own chain of shops,
as well as in other shops in this region.

Three years after the establishment of SIDAR, the company has increased the cultivated      land to 28 000 decares, owning 7000 decares and the other 21 000 decares are rented.      Along with this SIDAR is investing in new harvesters and tractors “CASE” and “JOHN DEERE”      and farm equipment “KVERNELAND”.
The company has employed 50 people and each year it gives training and qualification      courses to its staff.
In 2001 SIDAR has participated in SAPARD program and due to the financial help received from it and also from the Dutch Eucokredit Bank, the company has bought from the British “BRICE BAKER SILOS LTD” a grain-store with a capacity of 10 000 tonns.
In 2002 SIDAR has founded its daughter trading company Agrostaff Ltd with main
activities in distributing, trading and exporting the production of SIDAR. With the      investments made in arable land, production equipment and with the acquisition of the
grain-store, the company is hoping to have reached the European quality and standards
in order to make SIDAR`s production fully competitive in the European market
